After
breakfast, visit to Ephesus one of the largest antique cities,
St.John and House of Virgin Mary. Drive to Pamukkale and visit
Pamukkale "Cotton Castle". Dinner and overnight in
Pamukkale.

3 PAMUKKALE / KONYA / CAPPADOCIA |
| In
the morning, drive to Konya, the former Seljuk Capital, visit to
Museum of Mevlana, founder of the Mevlevi order of Whirling
Dervishes, Karatay and Ince Minare. Continue to Cappadocia. Dinner
and overnight.

4 CAPPADOCIA |
Full
day sightseeing of the villages of Avcilar, and Uchisar, with
their troglodyte dwellings, fairy chimneys, and the Goreme Valley
where we will visit rocked carved churches, some of which are
decorated with inscribed frescoes depicting scenes from the Bible
or the Apocrypha. Visit the underground City of Kaymakli or
Derinkuyu, created for defensive purposes by the early Christians.
Overnight in Cappadocia.

5 CAPPADOCIA / ANKARA / SARDIS |
Morning
drive to Ankara, the capital of Turkey, visit to world -renowned
Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, and then to the Mausoleum of
Atatürk, founder of Turkish Republic, Anatolia Civilization Museum.

6 PHILADELPHIA / SARDIS |
After
breakfast drive to Philadelphia " Alasehir " It
was important as a place for spreading the thought patterns and
activities of Hellenistic civilization and the Christian faith. On
the lower sides of the city are sections of thick Byzantine walls.
Philadelphia was a missionary city from its beginning. First, it
witnessed to Hellenistic culture. In Christian times, it witnessed
to non-Christians on the fringe of the Christian world. The most
interesting remains of Christian Philadelphia consist of part of a
Byzantine basilica built of brick with a big high arch. drive
to
Sardis. Sardis was
known by its wealth and as a famous trade center when it was the
capital of Lydia Kingdom. Owing to the Paktolos which passed
nearby the city and which had rich gold mines the wealth of the
city was very famous. This city which minted the first coins in
history in VIIth century B.C., was the last stop on the famous
King Road which started in Susa. Moreover, the city earned a
considerable income from the famous Artemis temple which people
from all over the ancient world visited.

After
breakfast visit KADIFEKALE Fortifications, SMYRNA CHURCH,
than drive to Pergamum visit to Acropolis, the Red Basilica ( St.
John Church ), the Asclepion, Amphitheatre overnight in Izmir.

Transfer
to airport, back home.
